The manufacturing and sales divisions are both a family owned and run business! They build 30-50 custom trailers per year. They do not paint their wood with metal paint or cut corners on the size or amount of material they use. We are not a large trailer chain store, who builds thousands of trailers per year. We personally own and use one of these trailers, as does our friends and neighbors. Our quality shows. You can believe us when we say our nearest competitor is an average of $300-$700 higher than us.
Our trailers are 100% Made in the USA. We only use Dexter/Rockwell axles, made in Elkhart, Indiana. The wood is Grade 1 MCA treated prime wood. All of our steel is from US Steel in Pittsburg, Pa. All of the metal has heat codes for traceability. The tires are ST, FED DOT approved and we back them with a DOT trace in writing just in case of a recall. Our welders are all ASME, section 9 certified. And our welds are all backed up with a lifetime guarantee. The paint is Valspar Acrilic Enamel, 2 coats primer, 2 coats paint.
Our overhead is low which means those less expensive trailers are using foreign parts. Which means money and jobs going overseas. Please ask questions before you buy a trailer. What is the thickness of metal you use on your frame? On your crossmembers, how thick is that metal? And what are the center to center dimensions on your crossmembers? What brand are your axles? Does your axles have a chamfer in them for loading? How many pounds are your equalizers rated for? And what brand are they? Does your tongue wrap around to the hangers or just to the crossmember? Is that black metal paint on your wood? How long will that last? Are your tires ST, (standard trailer), or P, (passenger, car) tires? New or used? What is their load rating? Do you own one of these trailers?
